   Valentines Day has been around for a long time. The ancient Romans are responsible for the name of our modern day of love. Emperor Claudius ll executed two men both name Valentine on February 14 both on different years in the 3rd century A.D. Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine Day. The first Valentine`s Day candy box was invented by Richard Cadbury in the late 19th century.Valentine`s Day is the second most popular day of the year for sending cards, second only to Christmas.There are approximately 50 million roses given on Valentine`s Day around the world.In the middle ages, superstition said that if you were single, you would end up marrying the first single person of the opposite sex that you met on Valentine`s Day.Approximately 27 percent of those who buy flowers on Valentine`s Day are women. The other 73% are men.

Thanksgiving Break Some things I did on my thanksgiving break was that I slept a lot, stayed up really late doing nothing, spent time with some of my friends. I also went to my aunts house and I spent time with my family and some cousins I haven’t seen in years and I finally got to see them. I think the break went by really fast we should’ve had it longer but I guess I had fun either way. One ctr thing I did was when I went to the theater with some friends and a lady dropped $100 and I picked it up and gave it to her it felt good doing the right thing.
